John & Becky Williams |
John and Becky enjoy playing hosts to new friends in the outdoors. Their experiences range from local paddling trips to a 5 1/2 month thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. While folks say they love the Williams' experience, we all know that it's Becky's food that keep people signing up for every trip or seminar they lead! |

| This is the place that always astounds first-time visitors. Two hours from Lafayette and your senses are filled by the sights, sounds and fresh fragrances of trails carved into steep moss-covered ravines that lead you to, over, or under six waterfalls. If you are quiet and patient, you could see chipmunks, marbled salamanders, and possibly birds of prey, or wild turkey. A unique wilderness, civilized by the beautifully constructed staircases and observation decks, but still possessing miles of undeveloped streambeds surrounded by towering ridges. What does Level 2 Mean? In the Level 2 trip, we will hike the entire primitive trail. During the hike, you'll have the opportunity to see 5-6 waterfalls as well as some great hilltop views. On this hike you will be travel over boulders, through shallow creeks, up and down steep hills and over and under trees. We recommend that you have done the level 1 hike, the Backbone trail hike previously or have other previous hiking experience. The trail will challenge you, but reward you with amazing views at every turn. Reservations Required! |
